Klymenko headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2023 after a plane crash in the city of Brovary, which led to the death of the former head of the department.

Iryna Vereshchuk today holds the position of Deputy Head of the President's Office. Before that, she was Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
