Semen Yuriyovych Kryvonos – Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (2023 – current time), Head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine (2021 – 2023).
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on January 16, 1983 in Mariupol.
In 2005, he completed his studies at the National Agrarian University with a degree in Agronomy, and in 2007 – at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine with a degree in Public Administration. He also received a master’s degree in public administration.
In 2010, he graduated from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences with a degree in Jurisprudence.
Career
During different periods of his career, he worked in the Holosiivskyi District State Administration of the city of Kyiv, the Obukhiv City District Department of Justice, and also held positions in the Main Department of Justice of the Kyiv region.
In 2015, he started working in Odesa. Initially, he headed the Department for Coordination of Work in the Field of State Registration of Real Estate Rights of the State Registration Department of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odesa Region.
Subsequently, he worked as deputy head of another structural unit of this department, responsible for the registration of regulatory legal acts, the organization of legal work and education.
At the end of 2015, he took the position of First Deputy Head of the Odesa Customs of the State Fiscal Service (SFS).
In 2016, he successfully passed the competition for the position of head of the Odesa territorial department of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). However, he decided not to hold this position and returned to work in the customs authorities.
From 2016 to 2017, he held the position of Senior Legal Advisor at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
In 2018, he began practicing law, first as an individual lawyer, and later joined the Apiary Partner Association, and in 2019-2020 he served as Acting Director of the State Enterprise Ploskovskyi Breeding Plant. At the same time, in the period from 2020 to 2021, he worked part-time as a legal adviser at the municipal enterprise “Kyivblagoustroy”.
In addition, in 2020-2021, he headed the public organization “Office of Simple Solutions and Results”.
Since 2021, he has served as head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine (DIAG). The body was created after the reorganization and liquidation of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate.
In 2022-2023, he participated in the competition for the position of Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). On March 6, 2023, he was officially appointed head of NABU.
