Natalia Kalmykova – Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine since September 5, 2024, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine (2023 – 2024).

Place of Birth, Education

She was born on February 4, 1982 in Vinnytsia.

She received higher education at Vinnytsia National Medical University; and Vinnytsia Academy of Continuing Education with a degree in Public Administration and Administration.

Kalmykova also studied at the MIM-Kyiv business school under the MBA program.

Career

In the period from 2005 to 2012, she worked as an intern at the City Emergency Hospital of Vinnytsia. At the same time, during 2007-2008, she held the position of medical consultant at the representative office of Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Later, from 2008 to 2012, she collaborated with the private enterprise Delta Medical, where she was a part-time marketing consultant. In 2014-2015, she continued to cooperate with the company, engaged in marketing consultations directly in Vinnytsia.

In June 2017, she joined the International Charitable Foundation “Come Back Alive”, where she held the position of head of the military department until January 2021. After that, from January to June 2021, she was the Chief Operating Officer of the fund.

Between June and November 2021, Kalmykova worked as a gender policy adviser at the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

From February 2022 to September 2023, she served as Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation.

On September 27, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to appoint Kalmykova as Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Social Development.

On September 5, 2024, the parliament appointed her Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Marital Status

He has two sons: Volodymyr and Danylo.
