Mikhail Fedorov

Mykhailo Albertovich Fedorov – First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Place of Birth, Education

He was born on January 21, 1991 in Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region.

He received higher education at the Faculty of Sociology and Management at Zaporizhzhya National University.

He also studied at the Higher School of Politics, an educational school for NATO representatives in Ukraine.

Community Service

During his studies at the university, he initiated the creation of the largest youth social movement in his city called “Activ-Z”. In 2012-2013, he served as the “student mayor” of Zaporizhzhia. In this position, he implemented a number of social initiatives aimed at supporting and developing the youth of the city.

Career

In May 2013, Fedorov founded the digital agency SMMSTUDIO in Zaporizhzhia. The agency has worked to increase sales for its clients through the use of social media ads, particularly on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. One of the company’s clients was Kvartal-Concert.

During the period from September to December 2018, the official worked as an Operations Director within the framework of the Superpeople consulting project.

He has also acted as a speaker at numerous events dedicated to information technology and marketing, as well as forums.

On May 21, 2019, he became an adviser to the president on digital technologies. He held this position on a voluntary basis, not being part of the staff.

On August 29, 2019, the Rada approved a new composition of the government, in which Fedorov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

On March 4, 2020, the Rada decided to resign Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine, which led to the dissolution of the entire government. On the same day, the parliament approved a new Cabinet of Ministers, in which Fedorov again took the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

On March 20, 2023, the parliament voted for Fedorov’s resignation. However, the very next day, on March 21, the Rada appointed him to a new position – Minister of Digital Transformation and Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology.

And on July 17, 2025, already in the government of Yulia Svyrydenko, Fedorov received the post of First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation.

Political Activities

In 2014, Fedorov ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a candidate from the political party “5.10”.

In December 2018, he joined the team of Volodymyr Zelensky’s election headquarters, who at that time was a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine. Fedorov took over the leadership of the digital direction of the team.

During the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada held in 2019, Fedorov was elected a people’s deputy from the Servant of the People party.

Marital Status

He is married to Anastasia Fedorova.

His wife was born in Zaporizhzhia. She received higher education at the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Zaporizhzhia National University.

The couple has a daughter.
