Maria Oleksandrivna Yefrosinina is a Ukrainian television host, journalist, producer, social activist, philanthropist, actress, translator, author, and host of YouTube channels.

She was born on May 25, 1979, in Kerch.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, majoring in “English and Spanish Translation.”
Career
She made her debut on “UT-1” on the show “Happy Call.”
In 2002, together with her co-host on the morning show “Pidym” on “Novy Kanal,” Yuriy Gorbunov, she was awarded the “Teletriumph” prize in the “Best Television Show” category.
For some time, she collaborated with the Russian television channels “Muz-TV,” “NTV,” and “DTV.” In particular, she appeared on an episode of the British morning show “Big Breakfast.”
On Ukrainian television, she participated in the shows “Line of Conflict” on ICTV, “Star Duet,” and “Alone in the Field” on the Inter channel. In particular, she collaborated on the show “Fashion Verdict” alongside fashion designer Oksana Karavanska and singer Boris Moiseev.
In 2005 , she hosted the “Eurovision” Song Contest.
I’ve tried my hand at acting a few times. My first experience was in 2006, when I played a journalist in the TV series “5 Minutes to the Subway.”
In 2007, she made her stage debut in the comedy production “It’s So Easy to Help, or Where Do Children Come From,” directed by Vitaliy Malakhov, the chief director of the capital’s “Theater on Podil.” In the play, she played the role of a surrogate mother.
Toward the end of the year, Yefrosinina also appeared in the music video for Vitaliy Kozlovsky’s song “You Wanted.”
In 2010, she became one of the hosts of Konstantin Meladze’s television show “Ukraine Doesn’t Believe in Tears.”
Starting on March 3, 2011, she hosted the show “Dreams Come True.”
In the spring of 2014, the romantic reality show “Three Hearts with Masha Yefrosinina” premiered on “Novy Kanal.” By the end of the year, the TV host had taken a break from her career to devote her free time to her family, community work, and preparing a new project.
On July 17, 2016, at the Odessa International Film Festival, Ukrainian director Anatoliy Mateshko presented the TV series “Triple Protection,” in which Yefrosinina played the lead role.
In 2017, she became the host of the social and entertainment show “Surprise, Surprise!” on the STB television channel.
The following year, Yefrosinina took part in the television show “Dancing with the Stars” on the “1+1” channel. That same year, she also starred in one of the leading roles in the family comedy “The Adventures of St. Nicholas.”
In particular, she became Ukraine’s first honorary ambassador for the United Nations (UN) Population Fund.
In 2020, she founded the nonprofit organization “Masha Foundation. “
From 2021 to 2023, Yefrosinina served as a judge and coach on the comedy festival “League of Laughter.”

Community and Charitable Activities
In July 2014, Yefrosinina began working with the “Tvoia Opora” charitable foundation. The following year, she became chair of the foundation’s board of trustees.
In November, she launched the Charity Weekend project —a series of meetings, themed events, and workshops featuring well-known figures. The main goal of the project was to raise funds to help sick children.
In 2014, 2016, and 2018, Yefrosinina took part in a charity photo project called “Shyri,” dedicated to Ukrainian national costumes and their promotion.
In May 2017, together with jewelry designer Valeria Guzema and the Guzema Fine Jewelry brand, we launched the “Charity Chain” project, whose goal was to raise funds for the “Tvoia Opora” Foundation to support the treatment of children at the Mykola Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.
In 2020, together with Nechyporenko, she founded the nonprofit organization “Masha Foundation, “ which works to combat domestic violence and provides psychological rehabilitation for women and their children who have been affected by the war.
With the outbreak of full-scale war, she became the host of a series of charity concerts titled “Good Evening, We’re from Ukraine,” which were aimed at raising funds to support Ukrainian children and women affected by the war.
In February 2023, she served as the lead interviewer for a YouTube studio at the Munich Security Conference. In June 2023, she filled the same role during the NATO summit.
In March 2024, she served as a guest speaker representing Ukraine at the largest annual event on gender equality and women’s empowerment held at UN headquarters.
Filmography
In 2006, Yefrosinina appeared in the TV series “Five Minutes to the Metro,” where she played Vika, and in 2009, she played a news anchor in the film “Like the Cossacks…”.
She also played the role of Tamara in the TV series “Triple Protection” in 2016.
In 2018, the films *The Stolen Princess: Ruslan and Lyudmila* and *The Adventures of St. Nicholas* were released, with Yefrosinina playing the role of Naina in the latter.
Marital Status
Yefrosinina is married to businessman and former head of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, Timur Khromaev. The couple has a daughter, Nana, born in 2004, and a son, Alexander, born in 2014.
