Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli historian, Ph.D., professor, recognized specialist in the field of military history.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on February 24, 1976 in the Israeli city of Kiryat Ata.
Between 1993 and 1998 he studied at the Faculty of History of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He later received a PhD from Jesus College, University of Oxford.
Career
In 2002, Harari defended his Ph.D. thesis.
After that, he published a number of studies on the military history of different periods. In 2003, he completed a postdoctoral program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and in 2005 he began teaching there.
Today, Harari continues to study world history and macrohistorical processes. His book “Intelligent Man. The History of Mankind from the Past to the Future” has gained wide popularity and has been translated into almost 30 languages.
Position on the war in Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Harari has openly supported Ukrainians, which he has repeatedly stated publicly.
In an interview with the Freedom TV channel, he noted that, in his opinion, it is thanks to Ukrainians that the whole world can feel safe today.
In addition, he met with students of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy.

Harari lives with her husband Itzik Yahav in the Moshav of Karmei Yosef, near the city of Beit Shemesh.
