Mykhailo Oleksandrovych Dianov is a Ukrainian serviceman, senior sergeant of the 36th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defender of Mariupol, participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on May 1, 1980 in Ternopil.
He studied at the Ternopil Music School No. 1 named after Vasyl Barvinsky. He was also educated at the Ternopil Vocational School No. 11.
In his youth, together with friends, he founded the musical group “Personal Signature”.
Military path
Since 2015, he signed a contract with the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade, where he served for a year, after which he returned to Ternopil on vacation.
Later, he joined the Marine Corps Battalion as part of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade.
In May 2022, a separate Azov special forces unit published photos of wounded defenders who were on the territory of Azovstal, including Dianov, on its Telegram channel.
Dianov was captured by the Russians on May 20 after leaving the plant. While in captivity, he was subjected to ill-treatment and torture. In particular, I lost 40 kilograms. He was released from captivity on September 21 during an exchange, along with 214 other Ukrainian soldiers.
After his release, he supported the initiative “Childhood without War” and transferred 400 thousand hryvnias for the evacuation of orphans from the areas of hostilities.
Awards
Dianov was awarded the Orders “For Courage” II and III degrees for courage, dedication in defending state sovereignty and loyalty to the military oath.
He was also awarded the title of honorary citizen of Ternopil.

Marital Status
The ex-wife of the soldier is called Olga. In marriage, a daughter, Catherine, was born to her.
Later, he married a second time – with Miroslava, who has a son from a previous marriage.
