She was born on August 22, 1966 in Lviv. Even in her school years, she studied music.
In 1987, she completed her studies at the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Theater Institute.
Career
Theatrical career
From 1987 to 2006, Sumska worked at the Lesya Ukrainka Academic National Theater of Russian Drama. For this, she played in a number of plays: “Suicide”, “Crazy Money”, “The Inspector General”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Bloody Wedding” and others.
Film career
In the film, she starred in the films “Evenings on a Farm Near Dykanka”, “At the Call of the Heart”, “Trap”, “Cinderella”, “Chasing Two Hares” and others.
She gained wide fame in 1996 after the release of the series “Roksolana – Captive of the Sultan”, where she played the main role.
After that, she also appeared in the films “Notes of the Snub-nosed Mephistopheles”, “Several Love Stories”, “Tiger Catchers” and others.
Television career
From 1997 to 2008, she hosted the program “Empire of Cinema” on the 1+1 TV channel.
