Alexander Sergeevich Rudynsky is a Ukrainian theater and film actor.

He was born on July 23, 1996 in Mykolaiv.
He began studying theater when he was in the 5th grade.
In 2014, after graduating from school, he became a student of the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television, choosing the direction of “Acting of Drama Theater and Cinema”.
Theatrical career
The first appearance on stage for Rudynskyi took place in the Educational Theater of the Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television named after Ivan Karpenko-Kary.
Later he joined the Kyiv Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. In 2017, he played the role of Sir Toby Belch in the production of “The 12th Night, or What You Want”, created based on the play by William Shakespeare under the direction of director Dmitry Bogomazov.
In 2018, he took part in the graduation production “Light Touch”, based on the short stories by Luigi Pirandello, which was staged by directors Dmitry Bogomazov and Andrey Saminin.
In 2019, he became a member of the troupe of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, where he participated in many performances. Among them are “Limerivna”, staged based on the work of Panas Myrnyi, in which he played the role of Vasyl, as well as “Stolen Happiness” based on the play of the same name by Ivan Franko, where he played the Boy.
In 2020, he played Baron de Cahuzac in the production of Cyrano de Bergerac, which was staged by Yuri Odinokyi. The following year, in 2021, he embodied the image of the Freak – the son of Peer Gynt – in the play “Peer Gynt” based on the work of Henrik Ibsen, on which director Ivan Uryvsky worked.
In 2022, he played the main role of Caligula in a production based on the play of the same name by Albert Camus, also directed by Ivan Uryvsky. In the same year, he appeared on stage as Emanuele Giri in “The Career of Arturo Ui” based on the work of Bertolt Brecht, directed by Dmitry Bogomazov.
In 2023, he played Bertram Chesterfield in the play “The Driven Horse” based on the work of Françoise Sagan, directed by Dmytro Chirypiuk. And the next year he played the role of Damis, the son of Orgon, in the production of “Tartuffe” based on the play by Moliere, on which director Dmitry Bogomazov again worked.
Movies and series
He made his debut on TV screens in 2016, starring in a number of Ukrainian TV series, including “Doctor on Duty”, “Million Dollar Village” and “The Law of the Pelican”. In addition, he participated in the drama film by Yulia Pavlova “Independence Day. Rodina Bun”.
Also notable film roles include the image of Hutsul in the adventure comedy “11 Children from Morshyn”, released in 2019, as well as the character of Skvortsov in the film “Noble Tramps” in 2018. He also starred in the television series “First Swallows”.
In the period from 2021 to 2023, he continued to work actively in the field of films and television series. Among the screen works are the historical series “Slavs”, the comedy action movie “Amber Cops” and the film “Best Weekend”. In particular, he got the role of Rudy in the film “Rhinoceros” directed by Oleg Sentsov.
Moreover, Rudynskyi even starred in the Netflix series “Decameron”, becoming the only actor from Eastern Europe invited to the project. Subsequently, he successfully passed the casting for a role in the series “Agency”, directed by George Clooney, where he played a Ukrainian soldier. His filming partners were famous actors Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere and Jeffrey Wright.
In 2025, the short film “Stone, Paper, Scissors” directed by Franz Böhm, in which Rudynskyi played one of the main roles, won the prestigious BAFTA Award.
Marital Status
On June 25, 2020, he married Maria Zanyborshch, who changed her surname to Rudynska after the wedding. She works as an actress at the Franko Theater.
