Oleg Anatolyevich Vinnik is a singer, composer, lyricist.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on July 31, 1973 in the village of Verbivka, Kamyansky district, Cherkasy region.
He received secondary education in the village of Chervonyi Kut, Zhashkiv district. After that, he entered the choirmaster department of the Kaniv School of Culture.
Music career
After completing his studies at the school, the first place of work was the regional philharmonic in Cherkasy. Having reached the age of 20, Oleg Vynnyk joined the Cherkasy Folk Choir as a soloist.
As part of the cultural exchange program, he did an internship in Germany. During this period, he received an invitation from the theater of the city of Lüneburg, located in the federal state of Lower Saxony, where he continued his creative path. Here he performed parts in the opera “Longing” and the operetta “Paganini”.
Subsequently, for 2 years he studied in Hamburg under the guidance of teacher John Lehman. It was at this time that he took his first steps in the musical genre. At first, these were the roles of Lucentio in the production of “Kiss Me, Kat”, as well as Phoebus and Clopin in the play “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”.
A significant breakthrough that brought Vinnik wide popularity was the musical “Les Misérables”, based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo.
Another important stage in his career was the role of the Black Prince, who symbolizes Death, in the musical “Elizabeth”.
For 15 years, the singer has been a leading performer in the world’s most famous musicals, performing under the stage name OLEGG. Thanks to this, he gained popularity in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other European countries.
In Ukraine
In 2011, the artist began a solo career in Ukraine, where he won a large audience in a short time. For several years, he presented four author’s albums, released twelve video clips and repeatedly visited both large regional centers and small towns with concerts.
In 2011, Vinnik presented his first studio album called “Angel”. The following year, the world saw another of his albums – “Happiness”.
In 2013, the performer released his first album in Ukrainian called “Roksolana”, and already in 2015, listeners were able to hear another disc called “I will not get tired”.
In the spring of 2017, he went on a large-scale tour of the cities of Ukraine and Belarus, which was called “My Soul…”. In the same year, he presented a video clip for the song “How to Live Without You”. Since the same year, the artist became a member of the jury of the popular music show “X-Factor”, which aired on the STB TV channel.
On May 20, 2018, the first concert of the singer’s all-Ukrainian tour called “You know” took place in Chernihiv.
During 2018, he released two new albums: “You Know” and “How to Live Without You”.
In 2020, he took part in the dance project “Dancing with the Stars”, which was broadcast on the 1+1 TV channel.
The following year, he became a detective in the television show “The Mask”. Also in 2021, he joined the eleventh season of the vocal project “The Voice of the Country” as one of the star coaches.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation in February 2022, the singer left for Germany. On August 23, 2024, he released a new song called “My People”, which was released on the Berlin-based music label Crazy Planet Records GmbH.
Marital Status
He is married to his backing vocalist Taisia Svatko. The couple has a son.
