Natalia Valevska

Natalia Alexandrovna Valevskaya is a Ukrainian singer.

Place of Birth, Education

She was born on June 10, 1981 in the city of Khmelnytskyi.

In 1996 she was educated at the Khmelnytskyi Music School.

In 2007, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Music of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.

In May 2018, she completed her studies at the Kyiv Institute of Intellectual Property and Law.

Career

1999 – 2010

In 1999, Valevskaya won the competition of young performers of pop song “Song over the Bug”. During 2000 – 2005 she worked as a presenter at wedding events.

In 2005, she became a laureate of the TV project “Chance”, and also received the third prize at the International Song Festival “Slavic Bazaar” in Vitebsk. In the UK, it was awarded the UBN AWARD 2004 in the category “Discovery of the Year”. Later, she recorded a joint song with Volodymyr Hryshko.

In 2006, her debut album called “Let Go” was released, which also included compositions in several languages – Ukrainian, Russian, Italian and French.

In 2007, Valevskaya represented Ukraine at the Vienna Ball, took part in the filming of the Russian film Lonely Angel, released her second album – “Without You” and became the winner of the music competition “Yalta-Moscow-Transit”.

In 2008, she performed at the international festival “Moon Cat”, which was held in Lloret de Mari, Spain. In particular, she received the “Woman of the III Millennium” award in the “Perspective” nomination, and her song “Two Stops” won the “Golden Songs of the Year” competition.

In 2009, she was awarded at the international competition “Alla Is Looking for Talents”, which was organized by the Russian pop singer Alla Pugacheva.

2010 – 2020

In 2010, Valevskaya took part in a tour with Alexander Peskov, and also joined the TV project “People’s Star-3”, where, together with Tatyana Ftemova, she won second place. In the same year, her third studio album “Desires Come True” was released, and the composition “Palala” became the winner of the “Song of the Year” award. In particular, she made it to the final of the national selection for Eurovision with the song “Europa”.

In 2011, the singer took part in the project “Golden Gramophone-Ukraine” and performed at the festival “Crimea Music Fest”. According to the results of the year, she was awarded the Crystal Microphone Award in the nomination “People’s Recognition of the Year”.

In 2012, she again became a laureate of the Woman of the III Millennium Award, this time in the Rating nomination.

In 2013, she performed on the stage of the Anti-Maidan in Kyiv during the Revolution of Dignity.

In 2014, she joined the charity initiative “From Heart to Heart” and became an honorary member of the jury from Ukraine at the children’s competition “Slavic Bazaar” in Vitebsk. During the festival, she performed the songs “This is Love” and “Towel”.

She also took part in the project “Happy Palms” and recorded the song “The Fire of Your Soul”. In October of the same year, she shot a video for the song “Tell Me Yes”.

In 2014, with the song “Love makes me beautiful”, she made it to the final of the National Selection for Eurovision. She also took part in the competition “Taxes through the eyes of children”, organized by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

In 2016, she appeared in the TV project “Everything will be fine” on the STB TV channel.

In June, she received the Order of Saints Anthony and Theodosius from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP). In the same year, the song “The Fire of My Soul” was awarded the “Hit of the Year” award.

On December 10 and 11, 2018, two concerts were held in Kyiv’s October Palace, timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of her creative activity.

The following year, Valevskaya was among the nominees for the Golden Firebird Music Award in the Dance Hit category for the song “My Body”.

2020 – present

In the period 2022 – 2023, after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the singer focused on helping injured Ukrainians, children of military personnel, as well as on supporting the military themselves who defend the country.

In cooperation with the NGO “Mutual Assistance”, it was possible to deliver humanitarian goods to the frontline regions. Medicines, food and basic necessities were handed over.

Valevska also joined the “Children to Children” initiative as part of the “Childhood Ambassadors” project.

Marital Status

She was in a relationship with Volodymyr Pryglad for 20 years, of which 18 years she was officially married. In June 2022, the singer announced their divorce.
