She was born on October 28, 1978 in Werting, United Kingdom, in the family of a sales manager and a housewife.
As a child, she was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, but stopped after an injury. After that, she decided to devote herself to an acting career.

“Game of Thrones”
In July 2011, Christie got the role of Brienne of Tarth in the second season of the series “Game of Thrones”. Even before auditioning, she began to wear unisex clothes to better enter the masculine way of thinking of her heroine, and began intense training, gaining more than 6 kilograms of muscle mass.
