Finn Michael Wolfgaard is a Canadian actor and musician.

He was born on December 23, 2002 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
His father, Eric Wolfgaard, works as a researcher on land claims from the Aborigines.
He has an older brother, Nick, who is engaged in voice acting.
Career
2014 – 2020
He got his first acting job through an ad on Craigslist. In 2014, he made his screen debut, playing Zoran in the second season of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi series “Hundred”.
In 2015, he appeared as Jordi Pinsky in the series “Supernatural”.
In 2016, Wolfgaard was approved for the role of Mike Wheeler in the series “Stranger Things”. He got into the project after an open casting. Along with the cast, he later won a SAG Award for Best Performance in a Drama Series.
In 2017, along with actors Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, he took part in a competition in one of the episodes of the Spike show “Lip Sync Battle”.
In July of the same year, he co-wrote the video for the song “Sonora” by Spendtime Palace.
He also made his first appearance in a feature film, playing Richie Tozier in the film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel It. The coincidence that the events of both “Strange Miracles” and “It” take place in the 80s, Wolfhard himself called an accident. He said that he got the role of Richie back when Cary Fukunaga was the director and co-writer of the screenplay. After the latter’s departure from the project, work on the role temporarily stopped, which gave Wolfgaard the opportunity to continue filming in Stranger Things. When Andres Muschietti joined the film adaptation, the actor had to re-audition for the role of Richie.
In January 2018, Wolfgaard signed with talent agency CAA. In the same year, he played Tyler – a thoughtful and friendly pizza delivery man – in the comedy “Dog Days” directed by Ken Marino.
In January 2019, he voiced a character named The Player in the Netflix animated series Carmen Sandiego.
In May of the same year, she first appeared as a model in the Saint Laurent advertising campaign for the Fall/Winter 2019 season.
Wolfgaard again played young Richie in scenes of the past in the sequel to It: Part Two. In addition, he took part in the film “The Goldfinch”, an adaptation of the novel by Donna Tartt directed by John Crowley, where he played the role of young Boris Pavlikovsky, a Ukrainian student and hooligan.
In 2019, the world saw an animated remake of The Addams Family, where the actor voiced Pugsley Addams.
In 2018 and 2019, The Hollywood Reporter included him in the list of the top 30 stars under 18.
2020 – tep. Time
In January 2020, Wolfgaard played the role of Miles in the supernatural horror film The Turnabout, which is an adaptation of Henry James’ short story The Turn of the Screw. In the same year, he starred in the anthology film “Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia”.
He later starred in Jeremy Chalen-Rio’s short film Werewolf Rules. The film is based on an adapted script by playwright and writer Kirk Lynn, who worked on this material specifically for Wolfhard in the title role.
At the age of 17, the actor first tried himself as a director, creating a comedy short film “Night Shifts”. The following year, he published a feed on YouTube.
Wolfgaard later landed one of the main roles in the Audible Original project “When You’re Done Saving the World”, where he voiced Ziggy Katz, a 15-year-old who records messages for a futuristic bot therapist. This material was later adapted by Jesse Eisenberg in the film of the same name.
In 2020, Wolfgaard was included in the Forbes “30 under 30” list in the “Hollywood and entertainment” category.
The following year, the actor played in Jason Reitman’s film Ghostbusters: From the Other World.
In November, Wolfgaard announced that he was working on making his own feature film. In particular, he joined the team of Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming animated musical film “Pinocchio”.
In 2024, he returned to the role of Trevor in the film Ghostbusters: Ice Empire.
In 2025, he played Petro in the film “Eyes: Legend of the Carpathians”.
