Ekaterina Kuznetsova

Ekaterina Olegovna Kuznetsova is a Ukrainian theater and film actress, TV presenter.

Place of Birth, Education

She was born on July 12, 1987 in Kyiv. Her father is football player Oleg Kuznetsov, mother is track and field athlete Alla Borisenko.

From 1990 to 1994, she lived with her parents in Scotland, where her father played for a football club.

For about 10 years she studied vocals and sang in the Kyiv choir “Spark”. Initially, she planned to become an opera singer, but in the end she decided to enter a theater university.

In 2009, she graduated from the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television. After her studies, she collaborated with the Kyiv Academic Young Theater.

Career

During her master’s studies, Kuznetsova hosted morning broadcasts on the First National. One of her first works was screensavers on the M1 channel.

Later she starred in the video “Gorodok” by the Leprechauns group.

In 2008, she took part in the show “Dancing for You!” on the 1+1 TV channel and won in tandem with Murat Nudel.

She made her screen debut in 2006 with a small role in the series “The Devil with Orly. Angel from Orly”. Later she starred in “The Return of Mukhtar-2”.

She also appeared in the TV series “You Can’t Command the Heart” in 2007, “Atonement. Start over. Martha”, “A Woman Not Prone to Adventures”, “Big Difference” and “Love Only”.

2010 – 2015

In 2011, she got the main role in the film “Best 3D Film”. She also began to live and work in Moscow, where she played one of the main roles in the TV series “Kitchen”. At the same time, she noted that she was ready to work in Ukraine and did not plan to change her Ukrainian citizenship.

In 2012, she got the main role of Elizabeth Glebovna in the melodrama “Give Me Sunday.” A year later, she appeared in several projects at once: she played Anna Fadeeva in the TV series “Shopping Center”, Polina in the melodrama “Queen of Bandits” and Lena in the film “Faster than Rabbits”.

In 2014, she returned to the role of Polina in the sequel “Queen of Bandits-2”. She also played Lida Selezneva in “Clear Water at the Source” and Rita in the melodrama “A Year in Tuscany”.

2015 – 2020

In 2015, she starred in the series “Anka from Moldovanka”, as well as in the films “Honest Pioneer-2”, “War of the Sexes” and “Fugitives”. The following year, she got the main role of Katya Ignatieva in the series “Express Business Trip”, as well as such projects as: “Partners”, “Twist”, “Cuba” and “Magazines”.

In 2017, she played Marina in the series “Desperate Housewife” and the main character Maria in the melodrama “Rainbow in the Sky”, and in 2018 – psychotherapist Inga Stefan in the series “Who are you?”.

In 2019, she got the main role of Natalka Seredyuk in the comedy “Crazy Wedding 2”, and two years later she played in the series “Vampires of the Middle Lane”.

2020 – tep. Time

In 2024, she appeared in the films “My Cinema”, where she played the main role of Sasha, and “Train on December 31”, in which she played Tamara Petrynenko.

In 2025, she played the main role of Kateryna Koval in the project “Love and Fire”, and also played in the film “Guardians of Christmas”. A year later, she appeared in the films “Probationary Period”, where she played the role of Polina, and “NU MAM”.

After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation (RF) into Ukraine, she was in Spain and said that she would not return to Russia.

Marital Status

Since 2006, Kuznetsova has been in a relationship with actor Evgeny Pronin. In the summer of 2014, they got married, but a year later they broke up.

Later, the actress was in a civil marriage with businessman Maxim Aplin. In the summer of 2025, she announced her separation from him.
