Place of Birth, Education
He was born on October 20, 1989 in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region.
He received higher education at the Institute of Law of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He also studied at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Career
During 2010-2014, he held the position of Senior Advisor on Public Administration at the consulting company Kesarev Consulting. After that, he joined the international brewing corporation Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he was an advisor on government issues and was a member of the board of directors. He worked in the company until May 2015.
In 2016, he joined the Strategic Advisory Group for Support of Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR). He taught at the Kyiv School of Economics and became one of the founders of the NGO “Agency for Innovative Democracy”, as well as the PolitEyes initiative.
Political Activities
In the spring of 2015, he began working in the government, taking the position of adviser to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. He dealt with government and parliamentary relations.
In 2017, he was appointed to the post of adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
Two years later, he became a people’s deputy of Ukraine, running under No. 4 on the electoral list of the political party “Holos”.
In the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation, he took the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy. In the period from 2020 to 2021, he headed the Holos faction.
Marital Status
Since 2023, he has been married to MP from the Servant of the People Olha Koval. The couple has a son, Ivan.
