Yana Vadimovna Zinkevych – People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX convocation.
Place of Birth, Education
She was born on July 2, 1995 in the city of Rivne.
She was educated at the Rivne Educational Complex “Collegium”. In 2017, she became a student at the State Medical Academy in Dnipro.
Career
In 2014, she voluntarily went to the front as a medic as part of the Right Sector battalion. She held a senior position in the Medical Department and Rehabilitation of Servicemen of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
She became the founder and commander of the medical battalion “Hospitallers”, which evacuated more than 3.2 thousand wounded during the war in eastern Ukraine. During the period of active hostilities within the framework of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and the Joint Forces Operation (JFO), she personally provided assistance to more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers.
In 2015, she opened a training center in Pavlohrad for the training of military paramedics.
Political Activities
According to the results of the parliamentary elections of 2019, she won the mandate of a people’s deputy of the IX convocation from the European Solidarity party, taking seventh place on the list. In the Verkhovna Rada, she became a member of the faction of the same name and took the position of secretary of the Committee on Public Health, Medical Care and Insurance.
Road accidents
In December 2015, near Dnipro, the car in which Zinkevych was traveling got into an accident. The car flew off the road and overturned several times, as a result of which it was thrown out of the passenger compartment. Zinkevych received serious injuries, including a fracture of the spine. Due to the accident, she received a lifelong disability.

She is married to a scout named Ilya.
He has a daughter, Bohdana, from a previous marriage.
