Roman Pavlovich Hryshchuk is a Ukrainian politician, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on August 27, 1989 in Kyiv.
He received his higher education at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) at the Faculty of Medical Engineering.
Career
While studying at the university, Hryshchuk collaborated with the 95 Kvartal studio.
In 2012, he founded the Mamakhikhotala studio. After completing the performances in the “Club of the Merry and Quick-witted” (KVN), the team held two concerts at KPI, the second of which, in the spring of 2013, was filmed for the then new TV channel “NLO TV”.
He also created the media projects “How Style Was Tempered”, “Butterfly” and “New Police”.
In 2022, he became a co-founder of the Solomenski Kotyky Charitable Foundation, and in 2023 he joined the supervisory board of the Kyiv Aviation Institute.
Political Activities
In 2019, Hryshchuk was elected a people’s deputy of the IX convocation from the Servant of the People party as a non-partisan. In the Verkhovna Rada, he joined the faction and became a member of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
In 2020, he chaired the subcommittee on lifelong education and out-of-school education, as well as on the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the norms of European Union (EU) law.
In 2024, he became a member of the temporary special commission on monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of local self-government bodies in Kyiv.
Marital Status
Grischuk’s wife, Anna Gres, is a model, blogger and actress. They met while studying at the university, when they performed together in the KVN team “KPI Team”, and later – in the studio “Mamakhikhotala”.
On October 30, 2019, the couple had a son, Timofey.
