He was born on November 24, 1974 in the city of Dnipro.
He received higher education at the Dnipropetrovsk State Institute of Railway Engineers with a specialization in the specialty “Urban Planning Engineer”.
Career
In the 1990s, Buzhansky was engaged in entrepreneurial activities, leading the work of a private security company for 12 years.
According to the official biography posted on the website of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Buzhansky noted the Arna Limited Liability Company (LLC), where he served as a manager, as his place of work. The main activity of this company is the trade in furniture, household goods, lighting fixtures and plumbing.
He is the author of two books: “The History of the World in 88 Chapters” and “History for the Lazy”.
Before the parliamentary elections that took place in 2019, Buzhansky was known as a publicist, blogger and host of the talk show “People Against”, which was broadcast on the ZIK TV channel.
Political Activities
In 2019, Buzhansky joined the team of the Servant of the People party. In particular, he ran in the early parliamentary elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
He won the elections with 28.21% of the vote.
In the parliament, he became a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement.
Scandals
In 2019, Buzhansky supported the smallest number of draft laws. He was also the author and initiator of several legislative initiatives, including proposals to abolish the laws “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language” and “On the Purification of Power”.
In 2021, he did not vote for key draft laws, including the law on the opening of the land market, the law on the restoration of liability for false information in declarations, as well as the law on the regulation of banks.
According to a study conducted by the Institute of Mass Information (IMI), Buzhansky was included in the list of persons who spread anti-Western and pro-Russian narratives.
The materials of the VoxCheck project demonstrate that his statements often contain manipulations and false information. In particular, he publicly stated that the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance was doing nothing to fight “Nazism, which is everywhere,” and accused the institution of “glorifying the SS.”
In 2022, Buzhansky worked on the Nash TV channel, where he stated that: “In Ukraine, there is a question of the existence of the state.” This thesis was picked up by the Russian propaganda media, which distorted its content and claimed that the very future of statehood was being questioned in Ukraine.
In 2024, he submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, in which he proposed to make the military credentials of public figures, including public activists, open to the public.
Marital Status
He is married to Victoria Kisrieva. The couple has three children: Roman, Polina and Arina.
