Yevhen Konstantinovich Maloletka is a photojournalist.

In 2010, he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering.
Career
In 2009, Maloletka began working as a photojournalist and publishing his materials in the agencies “UNIAN” and PHL.
After that, he worked as a freelancer, and also collaborated with the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and Der Spiegel.
In 2013-2014, he covered the events of Euromaidan in Kyiv. On December 1, 2013, during a shooting on Bankova Street near the Presidential Administration, Berkut officers broke his arm and damaged his camera.
In 2020-2021, Maloletka covered the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine.
On the night of February 24, 2022, together with video journalist Mstyslav Chernov, he arrived in Mariupol as part of an Associated Press business trip. After the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation (RF), they documented the consequences of enemy shelling and the work of local hospitals.
On March 9, Maloletka filmed the aftermath of the attack on the city hospital No. 3 and the maternity ward. His photos of injured pregnant women and a destroyed building have become one of the most famous shots of the full-scale war.
On March 15, 2022, Maloletka and Chernov left Mariupol as part of a convoy that left the city through a humanitarian corridor.
