Oleksiy Evgenievich Novikov is a Ukrainian athlete and strongman, the strongest man in the world in 2020 and the strongest man in Europe in 2022.

He was born on February 11, 1996 in Kyiv.
At the age of 16, he began to engage in strength sports and decided to devote himself to lomus.
He was educated at the State University of Trade and Economics.
Career
In 2017, in Ireland, Novikov won the “Giant Live” tournament, which gave him the right to take part in the “Strongest Man in the World” competition in April-May next year.
In early March 2018, he became the winner of the Arnold Amateur World Championship tournament, which was held in the American city of Columbus. The victory opened the way for him to participate in the Arnold Strongman Classic, where ten of the strongest athletes on the planet compete.
On April 21 of the same year, in Kyiv, he set a new record for Ukraine, carrying a “yoke” weighing 530 kg on his shoulders. The achievement was recorded by the “Book of Records of Ukraine”.
Novikov is a four-time winner of the title “The Strongest Man of Ukraine” – in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
In March 2020, Novikov took fifth place at the Arnold Strongman Classic 2020 tournament.
In November of the same year, he won the “World’s Strongest Man 2020” competition, held in the American city of Bradenton.
On March 13, 2021, he confirmed his title of the strongest man in the world, winning first place at the “SBD World’s Strongest Man” tournament, which took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On March 3, 2022, he won the title of the strongest man in Europe. During the competition, he won two out of five exercises and scored 52 points, which secured him first place.
At the “World’s Strongest Man” tournament, which took place in May in Sacramento, United States of America (USA), Novikov took third place, winning a bronze award.
On June 18, he set a world record in the Hummer Tire deadlift, lifting a weight of 549 kg – 4 kg more than the previous result.
Soon he became the champion of the Rogue Invitational Strongman Competition 2022, held in Austin, USA.
