Bohdan Bohdanovych Huda is a Ukrainian endocrine surgeon, oncologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Head of the Department of Endocrine Orphan Diseases and Endocrine Surgery at the V.P. Komisarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
He has more than 30 years of professional experience in endocrine surgery. His main areas of expertise include the diagnosis and surgical treatment of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland disorders, including endocrine malignancies.
Education and Academic Degree
Bohdan Huda combines clinical practice with scientific research in endocrinology and endocrine surgery.
In 2007, he defended his Candidate of Medical Sciences dissertation, which focused on the clinical course and surgical treatment of diffuse toxic goiter in children and adolescents.
In 2019, he completed his doctoral dissertation, “Well-Differentiated Thyroid Cancer: Molecular Biological and Clinical Aspects, Optimization of Surgical Treatment and Postoperative Rehabilitation of Patients,” and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
Career
Since 1995, Bohdan Huda’s professional career has been associated with the V.P. Komisarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv.
At the Institute, he progressed from a research position to the leadership of a specialized department. In 1998, he became a Junior Research Fellow, and in 2009, a Senior Research Fellow.
Since 2022, Bohdan Huda has headed the Department of Endocrine Orphan Diseases and Endocrine Surgery at the Institute.
He combines clinical practice with scientific research and the training of young physicians and researchers. Over more than 30 years of professional practice, he has performed thousands of surgical procedures and provided tens of thousands of patient consultations.

He is actively involved in the training of young physicians and researchers and regularly participates in specialized scientific and educational events. He is a member of the editorial board/council of the scientific and practical medical journal Endokrynologia (Endocrinology).
