Kylie Ann Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress.

She was born on May 28, 1968 in Coldfield, Australia, in the family of Ronald Charles Minogue, who worked as an accountant in an automobile company, and ballerina Carol Ann.
The future singer’s family often moved between different suburbs of Melbourne to support themselves financially.
After moving to Surrey Hills, Minogue began studying at Camberwell High School.
Career
1976 – 1990
Minogue began her career as a child. In 1976, she appeared in several soap operas, including “Skyways”, “The Sullivans” and “The Henderson Kids”.
In 1983, she first took part in the weekly musical television program Young Talent Time, but real success came to her in 1986 after filming in the television series “Neighbors”.
During a charity event in Melbourne, in which the cast of “Neighbors” participated, Minogue performed the song “The Loco-Motion” by American singer Little Eve. Soon after, she signed a contract with Mushroom Records. Also later, the single “Locomotion” was released, which stayed on the first steps of the Australian charts for seven weeks.
After success in Australia, Minogue was invited to London to work with famous producers, with whom sherecorded the song “I Should Be So Lucky”.
Minogue’s first album “Kylie” was released in 1988 and immediately topped the British chart, becoming the most successful in terms of sales – more than 7 million copies were sold in the world. At the end of that year, Kylie decided to quit acting to focus on her music career.
In subsequent years, she regularly released new studio records. This is how the albums “Yourself” (1989), “Rhythm of Love” (1990) and “Let’s Get To It” (1991) appeared.
In early 1989, Minogue recorded the duet song “Especially For You” with Jason Donovan, whom she was dating at the time. The composition quickly became a major hit in the UK.
Subsequently, she took part in the filming of the film “Criminals”, but her acting at that time was evaluated rather restrainedly and received mixed reviews.
1990 – 2000
In 1991, Minogue changed her stage image – from the image of the “girl next door” she moved to the role of a seductive and self-confident woman. In the same year, she released the collection “The Greatest Hits”, which immediately topped the British chart.
Two years later, the singer signed a contract with Deconstruction Records, and in 1994 her fifth studio album, “Kylie Minogue”, was released. Sales of the record worldwide reached 2.5 million copies. One of the lead singles, “Confide in Me”, topped the Australian charts for five weeks.
During this period, Minogue met Willie Baker, who first became her stylist, and later the director of concert performances. She also starred in the film “Street Fighter”.
Together with Nick Cave, Minogue recorded the song “Where The Wild Roses Grow”, which premiered on August 4, 1995. This year, the singer devoted most of her time to acting. She first appeared in the comedy film “Bio-Dome”, after which she took part in the filming of the short film “Hayride To Hell”. At the end of the year, she starred in another short film – “Misfits”, which was released in the summer of 1996.
In 1997, Minogue presented the album “Impossible Princess”, which later received platinum status. The first single from the disc was the song “Some Kind Of Bliss”, written in collaboration with the band “Manic Street Preachers”. A total of three singles were released from this album, but none of them reached number one on the UK charts.
After the Intimate And Live Tour, Minogue was offered to play in the film “Moulin Rouge!”.
In 1999, the singer signed a contract with Parlophone Records. The following year, she released the album “Light Years”, designed in the style of disco. The disc includes the song “Kids”, which she performed together with Robbie Williams. In the same period, two more films were released with her participation – “Exemplary People” and “Director’s Version”.
2001 – 2010
In 2001, the album “Fever” was released. For this disc, the singer received two Brit Awards, and the album itself received multi-platinum status in the United States.
Two songs from the album – “Come Into My World” and “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” – were featured in the popular television series “Charmed”.
In 2003, Minogue presented the album “Body Language”. The first single from the disc was the song “Slow”, for which in 2004 the singer was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category “Best Dance Recording”.
In the same year, the singer went on the world tour “The Showgirl – The Greatest Hits Tour”. However, in the end, the tour had to be interrupted – in the spring of 2005, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a course of treatment, the singer returned to the stage and continued the tour in Australia, already under an updated name and with a new setlist.
In the fall of 2007, Minogue presented the album “X”. The disc received mixed reviews from critics, but despite this, a large-scale world tour KylieX2008 was organized in support of it. During this same period, she appeared in a special Christmas episode of the popular series “Doctor Who”.
Immediately after the end of the tour, the singer’s management announced the preparation of another concert tour – “For You, for Me”, which was supposed to take place in North America.
In December 2009, the release of the live album “Kylie Live in New York” was announced, which included tracks from a performance held in New York. The assembly was only available in digital format – no physical media were produced.
2010 – tep. Time
In June 2010, Minogue presented the single “All the Lovers”, and in July, her studio album “Aphrodite” was released in the UK and continental Europe. The second single of the disc was the song “Get Outta My Way”.
In October of the same year, she performed in Giza, Egypt, in front of the pyramids and the Sphinx on the occasion of the anniversary of the magazine “Enigma”. Both singles – “All the Lovers” and “Get Outta My Way” – were popular in American clubs at that time and occupied high positions in the Billboard charts.
In 2011, Minogue began a world tour in support of the album “Aphrodite”. In early 2012, she decided to update part of her early repertoire by re-recording several well-known hits in a new sound. Among them was the song “Finer Feelings”, for which an acoustic version was created with the participation of a symphony orchestra.
In the same year, Kylie Minogue starred in Leos Carax’s film “Holy Motors Corporation”, where she played the role of Eve, the former lover of the main character.
In February 2013, she began collaborating with the Roc Nation label, founded by Jay-Z. In the fall of the same year, Minogue recorded the duet song “Limpido” with Italian singer Laura Pausini. The composition debuted at number one on the Italian music chart.
In 2014, Kylie released a new studio album titled “Kiss Me Once”.

From 1986 to 1989, Minogue was in a relationship with actor Jason Donovan, with whom she starred in the TV series “Neighbors”.
In July 1987, she met INXS vocalist Michael Hutchence. In September 1989, in Hong Kong, the two began a romantic relationship that lasted until 1991.
In 1995, Kylie began dating French photographer Stéphane Senaoui, but two years later their romance ended.
In March 2000, Minogue appeared in public with model James Gooding. In May 2002, it became known about the end of their relationship.
In 2003, during the Grammy ceremony, she met French actor Olivier Martinez. Their relationship lasted until February 2007. The reason for the breakup, according to the singer, was false accusations of betrayal by Martinez in the media. At the same time, she expressed gratitude to the actor for his support during her cancer treatment.
From 2008 to 2013, the singer was in a relationship with model and actor Andres Velenkoso, and already in November 2015 it became known that she began dating British actor Joshua Sasse.
On February 20, 2016, the “Upcoming Weddings” section of The Daily newspaper reported on their engagement. However, a year later, Minogue canceled the engagement due to betrayal on the part of the groom.
Since February 2018, Minogue has been in a relationship with Paul Solomons, creative director of the British edition of GQ magazine. In early February 2021, it became known about their engagement. However, in February 2023, it was reported that the couple had broken up.
