Pronin Philip Yevhenovych – Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine (2024 – present).
Place of Birth, Education
Pronin was born on September 29, 1982 in the city of Kyiv.
He received higher education in several institutions. In 2005, he completed his studies at the Kyiv National Economic University, receiving a master’s degree in International Economics. Later, in 2018, he graduated from the private higher educational institution “College of Finance and Law”, where he received a bachelor’s degree in law.
Career
During 2003 – 2004, Pronin worked as a financier in the limited liability company (LLC) “Ozdobbud”. From 2005 to 2008, he held the position of Chief Specialist of the Department of Analytical Work at the State Committee for Financial Monitoring of Ukraine.
After that, he started working at the Ukrainian representative office of KPMG, where he was engaged in the creation and development of a group of independent financial investigations.
In 2010, he returned to work at the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine. Until 2017, he held a number of senior positions in the Department of Financial Investigations, including Deputy Head, Head of One of the Departments and Deputy Director of the Department.
Pronin took part in the Minsk negotiations. He dealt with issues related to the violation by the Russian Federation (RF) of the provisions of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism. He also had the status of an accredited expert of the Council of Europe on the assessment of national systems aimed at countering the legalization of proceeds from crime.
In 2017 headed one of the departments of the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA). After 3 years, he took the position of deputy chairman of the body.
In October 2023, he was appointed head of the Poltava Regional State Administration (RSA) in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. On December 31, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Pronin to the post of head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.
Marital Status
He is married to Natalia Pronina. The couple has a son, Mirko, and a daughter, Arina.
