Bill Skashgård

Bill Istvan Günther Skashgård is a Swedish actor.

Place of Birth, Education

He was born on August 9, 1990 in the Stockholm suburb of Wellingby, Sweden.

He grew up in the family of actor Stellan Skashgaard and his first wife Mai.

Childhood was spent on constant trips. The father often worked on the set and took his sons with him.

Career

2000 – 2010

Skashgård got his first role in the movie as a child – in 2000 he starred in the Swedish thriller “Jarngänget”. In the same film, his older brother Alexander also played.

By the age of 18, he managed to work in several more projects – he starred in two Swedish short films and the miniseries “Pappa polis”.

In 2008, he appeared in the adventure film Arn: United Kingdom, where he worked on the same set with his father and brother Gustaf. He reprised the role of a minor character in the miniseries Arn: Knight Templar, which was released in 2010.

In 2010, two Swedish feature films starring Skashgård also premiered – the drama “Beyond the Blue Skies” and the romantic comedy “There Are No Feelings in Space”.

The actor’s first work in foreign cinema was the role of Officer Makhotin in the British film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s novel “Anna Karenina”. In the film, his character competed in a race with Vronsky’s character, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

After that, Skashgård began to be actively invited by European and American directors. He became widely known for his role in the horror series “Hemlock’s Tunnel”. The actor played Roman Godfrey – half-human, half-vampire.

One of the first notable roles of the actor in a full-length foreign film was participation in the sci-fi thriller Divergent 3: The Maiden. In the film, he played Matthew, an employee of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare.

In August 2017, he appeared in a minor role in the action movie “Atomic Blonde”, where the main role was played by Charlize Theron.
