Alla Hryhorivna Mazur is a journalist and TV presenter.
Place of Birth, Education
She was born on September 16, 1965 in the Khmelnytskyi region in a family of doctors. While still at school, she began to write for the local district newspaper: at first it was rather out of her own interest, and later – on editorial assignments.
She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University with a degree in Radio Journalism.
Career
She began working on the first channel of “Ukrainian Radio”, where she first worked as a correspondent, and later as a presenter in the Main Editorial Board of Information. Together with other journalists, she participated in the creation and conduct of the first radio marathons in Ukraine dedicated to the anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the election of the first president of the country in 1991.
In 1993, having accepted the invitation of the management of UT-1, she joined the team of the Ukrainian Television News (UTN) project. At the same time, she hosted the political and economic talk show “Crossroads”, which was created in cooperation with the American side. Later, she became the author and host of the journalistic television series “Investment Story”.
At the end of 1996, she received an invitation to join the Studio 1+1 TV channel. Already on January 1, 1997, it aired with the first issue of the program “Television News Service” (TSN).
In November 2019, she announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Despite this, she continued to work and undergo chemotherapy.
Awards
In 1996, Mazur won the Prometheus-Prestige Award as part of the Person of the Year campaign, receiving recognition as the “Best TV Journalist of 1995”. Two years later, in 1998, she became a laureate of the IV All-Ukrainian Journalism Festival, where she was noted as the best presenter of information programs in Ukraine. At the same time, it received the title of “National Recognition”. At the first Interstate Forum of the CIS countries, the jury awarded her a victory in the nomination “Best Presenter of Information Programs”.
In 1999, within the framework of the competition “Business Woman of Ukraine – 98” she won in the category “TV presenter”. In the same year, Mazur was awarded a state award – the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree.
Over the following years, she was repeatedly recognized at the professional level: she became a laureate of the National Television Award “Teletriumph” in the nomination “Presenter/Presenter of an Information and Analytical Program” in 2001, 2003, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2018.
In 2020, she received the Order of Princess Olga, II degree.

In 2008, she gave birth to a son, Artem.
