Marina Mazepa is a Ukrainian film actress, dancer, acrobat, choreographer and model.
Place of Birth, Education
She was born on May 7, 1997 in the city of Konotop, Sumy region.
As a child, her mother sent her to folk art and ballet classes.
At the age of 15, the future film actress entered the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts.
Career
2015 – 2020
In 2015, Mazepa became the winner of the Ukrainian Dance Championship “The Challenge” in the category “Modern Solo Varsity”.
In the same year, she played the main role in the dance circus show “Fairy Tale Show: Alice in Wonderland”. In particular, she took part in the Ukrainian television dance project “Everyone Dances!”, where she was one of the five best participants.
From 2016 to 2017, Mazepa worked as an acrobat in the evening show “Cirque d’Europe” in the German Europa Park.
In 2017, she took part in the International Circus Festival “Young Stage”, where she performed as a pole dance artist. She also worked as a dance coach and choreographer at the Ladies Only festival and became a participant in the 12th season of the French show France’s Got Talent, where she managed to reach the final.
In particular, she starred in the music video for the song “Freedom or Sweet Captivity” by Russian singer Valery Meladze.
In 2018, she starred in the American version of the show “So You Think You Can Dance”. She successfully passed the first stage of selection, but decided to stop participating in order to focus on preparing for the casting in “America’s Got Talent”.
After completing her contract as a choreographer of a circus show in Las Vegas, Mazepa moved to Los Angeles. In 2019, she performed in the show “America’s Got Talent”.
2020 – 2025
The following year, she joined the cast of the horror film “Wicked”, which director Sam Raimi shot based on the novel “Shrine”. The film was released in 2021.
In particular, Mazepa played the role of Gabriel in James Wan’s horror film Evil Incarnation and played Lisa Trevor in the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
In 2023, the actress appeared as Gretel in the TV series “Continental”, and as “Snake” in “It’s All Agatha”.
