Stanislav Vladimirovich Boklan is a Ukrainian theater and film actor.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on January 12, 1960 in the village of Brusyliv, Zhytomyr region.
His father worked in a factory, and his mother worked in kindergarten.
When he was two years old, the family moved to Kyiv, where he spent his childhood and youth.
Acquaintance with creativity happened unexpectedly – a friend who planned to enter the theater institute invited Boklan to his rehearsals. After attending several classes, the future actor became interested in theatrical art and decided to try himself in this area.
In the end, he and his friend decided to enter the theater institute, but during the first attempt he could not pass the entrance exams. After that, he enrolled in preparatory courses, and the next year he again submitted documents to the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Institute of Theater Arts. This time – he successfully passed all the exams
Career
After graduating from school, Boklan worked for some time at the Crystal factory.
Theatre
In 1984, after completing his studies at the institute, Boklan began working at the Donetsk Regional Drama Theater in Mariupol. Over the next ten years, he played a large number of roles in performances of various genres and wrote songs for productions.
In the 1990s, he returned to Kyiv and joined the Young Theater, where he continues to work to this day.

Boklan’s creative legacy also includes more than 50 roles in film and television projects.
His path to cinema began in the 1990s, when he was still working in the theater. One of the first notable roles was participation in the multi-part biographical film “Taras Shevchenko. Testament”, which was published during 1992 – 1997.
Also among Boklan’s first notable works in the film is the role of a member of a criminal gang in the film “American Blues”, which was released in 1994.
The following year, he played American journalist Stephen Wright in the adventure melodrama Reportage. The film was awarded at the international film festival “Molodist-95”.
Further, Boklan’s filmography was actively replenished with new works. Among them are the role of Seva Kruglov in the film “The Trail of the Werewolf” (2001), General Dubelt in the historical drama “Brotherhood” (2005), as well as the revolutionary Antonov-Ovsienko in the biographical drama “Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno”. In addition, he played a colonel of the tsarist army in the historical series “Passion for Chapay”.
In 2014, the film “The Guide, or Flowers Have Eyes” was released, which takes place in the 1930s against the backdrop of the Holodomor and the persecution of the Ukrainian intelligentsia. In the film, Boklan played the role of the kobzar Ivan Kocherga. For this work he received two prestigious awards for Best Actor.
In 2017, he played a Ukrainian mafioso in the Ukrainian-Slovak crime film “Border”, which was awarded ten awards at international film festivals.
Among the successful works of the actor is also the series “Daddy”, in which he played an elderly man who decides to change his life and feel its taste again. The role brought him even more popularity, and the first episodes gathered an audience of more than 4 million viewers.
During the same period, he also starred in the TV series “Serfdom”, where he played the role of the strict landowner Grigory Chervinsky.
Television
In addition to working in theater and film, Boklan also participated in television projects.
In 2017, he joined the jury of the comedy show “League of Laughter”, and in 2021 he became the face of the show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” on the ICTV channel.
Marital Status
Boklan previously had a short and unsuccessful marriage, which he usually does not talk about.
Today he is married to actress Natalia Klenina, whom he met while working together at the Young Theater.
Despite the fact that Boklan and Klenina work in the same theater, they try to clearly distinguish between professional and personal life. His wife, in addition to acting, also holds the positions of concert administrator and assistant director.
The couple raised two children: a son Natalia from her first marriage, Kyrylo, and a common daughter Maria.
