Andriy Borysovych Yermak – lawyer, film producer, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (2019 – present).
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on November 21, 1971 in Kyiv.
He received higher education at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He received a master’s degree in private international law.
In particular, in 1995 he received a Certificate of the right to practice law.
Career
In 1997, Yermak founded the International Law Company, which specializes in providing services for the protection of intellectual property rights and copyright. The company was one of the first in Ukraine to offer legal support for TV channels and media groups. Among the company’s clients were Inter Media Group, as well as international companies Disney, Pixar and Universal.
In addition, Yermak participated in the creation of the first legislative acts of Ukraine in the field of economic law and intellectual property.
He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, and also heads the public organization “Association of Entrepreneurs of the City of Kyiv”.
In the field of production, he is the founder of Garnet International Media Group, a company specializing in the production, distribution and creation of cinematic content.
Political Activities
During three convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine – V, VI and VII convocations – Yermak served as an assistant to the People’s Deputy from the Party of Regions Elbrus Tedeev.
On May 21, 2019, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing Yermak as his assistant. In July of the same year, a new direction was added to his range of responsibilities – the coordination of issues related to international relations.
On June 21 of the same year, Yermak became a member of the National Investment Council.
As a representative of the President of Ukraine, he wouldbe happy to participate in negotiations within the framework of the “Normandy Four”, cooperating with the then Minister of Foreign Affairs Vadym Prystaiko. In addition, he headed the coordination group that dealt with the exchange of prisoners.
On February 11, 2020, Zelensky appointed Yermak head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
