Timothée Al Chalamet is an American-French actor and producer.

Born on December 27, 1995 , he grew up in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City.
As a teenager, he became interested in acting after watching the 2008 film The Dark Knight, where the Joker was played by Heath Ledger.
He began his professional career on the theater stage of New York, after which he switched to television and film.
An important stage was his studies at the Fiorello La Guardia Higher School of Music and Theater Arts, where the drama teacher recommended that Chalamet be admitted to the institution after auditioning. There he played in the musicals “Cabaret” and “Sweet Charity”.
After that, he entered Columbia University, where he studied cultural anthropology.
Later, he transferred to the Gallatin School of Individualized Learning to combine his studies with his acting career.
Career
Chalamet received his first roles as a child. He has starred in commercials as well as two horror shorts, Lusun and the Clown.
In 2009, he appeared in an episode of the series “Law and Order”, where he played a murder victim. That same year, he had a minor role in the television movie “Loving Leah”.
2010 – 2015
In 2011, he made his debut on the theater stage in the off-Broadway play “The Talls”, where he played the role of a teenager.
In 2012, he received roles in the TV series “Royal Pains” and “Homeland”. In the latter, he played Finn Walden, the son of the vice president. In particular, together with the cast of the series, he was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble Acting in a Drama Series.
In 2014, Chalamet made his feature film debut, playing a minor role in the film “Men, Women and Children” directed by Jason Reitman. In the same year, he appeared in the film “Interstellar” by Christopher Nolan, where he played the role of Tom Cooper, the son of the hero Matthew McConaughey.
