Nelia Volodymyrivna Shovkoplias is a Ukrainian television host and volunteer.
Place of Birth, Education
She was born on January 26, 1987, in the town of Barvinkove, Barvinkove District, Kharkiv Oblast.
She earned her higher education degree from Kharkiv National University of Economics, majoring in “Marketing and Economics.”
Career
While I was still in college, I started working as a sales representative for a cosmetics company. I also worked part-time as a waitress for a while.
After studying at the “1+1 Media School” and completing internships on the shows “Model XL” and “Dancing with the Stars,” she became the host of the morning show “Breakfast with 1+1” in September 2017.
At the start of the Russian Federation’s (RF) full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Shovkoplias appeared on the “Breakfast with 1+1” show, after which she took her sons to a safe place. In particular, she took a crash course in first aid and volunteered.
In April, she returned to “Breakfast with 1+1. “
She is also the regular host of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine and the “Varti” Volunteer Award.
Community Service
Shovkoplias is a mentor for the 1+1 Media charity project “Make a Dream Come True.” Together with the team, she helps make the dreams of sick children who have lost one or both parents as a result of the full-scale war come true.
In the spring of 2022, in collaboration with the “You Are Not Alone” Charitable Foundation and 1+1 Media, the organization received 12.5 metric tons of humanitarian aid from Spain and distributed it to Ukrainian families.
On St. Nicholas Day in 2022, she traveled to Lviv with TV host Yegor Gordeev, where she joined a fundraiser to collect money for rehabilitation equipment for the children at St. Nicholas Hospital. As part of the initiative, a charity marathon was held live on the “Breakfast with 1+1” show.
Shovkoplias is also an ambassador for the IOM’s awareness campaign aimed at combating violence.
Marital Status
The TV host is married and has two children: Timofey and Matvey.
