{"id":6222,"date":"2026-05-31T18:40:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T15:40:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/andrea-maldera-6222\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T18:19:27","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T15:19:27","slug":"andrea-maldera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/en\/athletes\/andrea-maldera-6222\/","title":{"rendered":"Andrea Maldera"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Andrea Maldera is an Italian football coach, assistant head coach and specialist in tactical and technical analysis, head coach of the national football team of Ukraine (2026 &#8211; present).  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Place of Birth, Education<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was born on <strong>May 18, 1971<\/strong> in Milan, Italy.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He grew up in a football family &#8211; his father Luigi Maldera and uncles Aldo and Attilio Maldera were professional players.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Career  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Maldera&#8217;s career is closely linked to Milan<\/strong>. Over the years, he worked in several areas &#8211; he was involved in youth teams, was a technical coach of the first team and analyzed matches. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 2009 to 2015, <strong>he was a member of the headquarters of the main team of Milan<\/strong>. During this time he worked together with Leonardo, Massimiliano Allegri, Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the 2015\/16 season, he remained in the structure of the club and worked as an analyst of matches of the youth team &#8220;Milan&#8221; (Primavera).  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, Maldera <strong>joined the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team<\/strong>, which was then headed <a href=\"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/en\/athletes\/andriy-shevchenko-5803\/\">by Andriy Shevchenko<\/a>. He worked as one of his assistants together with Shovkovsky and Tassotti. In the team, he was responsible for analyzing the game, preparing for matches and analyzing opponents. It was during this period that the Ukrainian national team reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2020 &#8211; this was its best result at the European Championships.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2022, he moved to Roberto De Zerbi&#8217;s staff at Brighton, England, where he worked with the first team. When De Zerbi finished his work at the club in May 2024, Maldera also left along with other coaches on his staff. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July 2024, Maldera continued to work with De Zerbi &#8211; this time at the French Marseille, where he became an assistant head coach.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>On May 18, 2026, <strong>Maldera officially headed the national team of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Andrea Maldera is an Italian football coach, assistant head coach and specialist in tactical and technical analysis, head coach of the national football team of Ukraine (2026 &#8211; present).
