{"id":4730,"date":"2025-07-16T08:18:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T05:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/mikhail-dianov-4730\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T17:10:59","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T14:10:59","slug":"mikhail-dianov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/en\/military\/mikhail-dianov-4730\/","title":{"rendered":"Mikhail Dianov"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mykhailo Oleksandrovych Dianov is a Ukrainian serviceman, senior sergeant of the 36th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defender of Mariupol, participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Place of Birth, Education<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was born on <strong>May 1, 1980<\/strong> in Ternopil.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He studied at the Ternopil Music School No. 1 named after Vasyl Barvinsky. He was also educated at the Ternopil Vocational School No. 11.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his youth, together with friends, he founded the musical group &#8220;Personal Signature&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Military path<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2015,<strong> he signed a contract with the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade<\/strong>, where he served for a year, after which he returned to Ternopil on vacation.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, <strong>he joined the Marine Corps Battalion <\/strong>as part of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May 2022, a separate Azov special forces unit published photos of wounded defenders who were on the territory of Azovstal, including Dianov, on its Telegram channel.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dianov <strong>was captured by the Russians on May 20<\/strong> after leaving the plant. While in captivity, he was subjected to ill-treatment and torture. In particular, I lost 40 kilograms. He was<strong> released from captivity on September 21 <\/strong>during an exchange, along with 214 other Ukrainian soldiers.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After his release, he supported the initiative &#8220;Childhood without War&#8221; and transferred 400 thousand hryvnias for the evacuation of orphans from the areas of hostilities.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dianov was awarded the Orders &#8220;For Courage&#8221; II and III degrees for courage, dedication in defending state sovereignty and loyalty to the military oath.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was also awarded the title of honorary citizen of Ternopil.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other awards include:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>badges &#8220;ATO Participant&#8221;;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;For exemplary military service&#8221; of the III degree;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;For exemplary service&#8221;.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marital Status<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ex-wife of the soldier is called Olga.
