{"id":4438,"date":"2025-01-10T17:52:34","date_gmt":"2025-01-10T15:52:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/ivan-fedorov-4438\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T17:09:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T14:09:52","slug":"ivan-fedorov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepersona.com.ua\/en\/officials\/ivan-fedorov-4438\/","title":{"rendered":"Ivan Fedorov"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ivan Sergeevich Fedorov &#8211; head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (2024 &#8211; current time), mayor of Melitopol (2020 &#8211; 2024), deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council from the &#8220;Petro Poroshenko Bloc&#8221; (2015 &#8211; 2020), deputy of the Melitopol City Council from the &#8220;Party of Regions&#8221; (2010-2015).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Place of Birth, Education<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was born on <strong>August 29, 1988<\/strong> in Melitopol.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2011, Fedorov received a master&#8217;s degree in Enterprise Economics from the Taurida Agrotechnological University. In 2012, he received a bachelor&#8217;s degree in management, completing his studies at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2015, Fedorov continued his education, completing his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Career  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the period from 2010 to 2013, Fedorov served as director of the private enterprise &#8220;Center for Computed Tomography&#8221;, which is owned by his parents.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From August to October 2019 <strong>, he worked as Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration<\/strong> (KCSA).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2019-2020,<strong> he served as First Deputy Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration <\/strong>(RSA) Vitaliy Turynko. At the same time, he was an adviser to Melitopol Mayor Serhiy Minko on issues related to urban planning and architecture. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020, Fedorov <strong>won the election of the mayor of Melitopol<\/strong>, running for the Serhiy Minko Team party. He won the support of 59.6% of voters. In addition, he was also nominated as a candidate for deputies of the Melitopol City Council from the same political force.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February 2024, <strong>he was appointed head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration<\/strong> (RMA)<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Political Activities  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2008, Fedorov has worked as an assistant to a people&#8217;s deputy. As he himself noted, he took the first step into &#8220;adult&#8221; politics in 2009 at the invitation of the then mayor of Melitopol, Dmytro Viktorovich Sychev. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2010, he became a deputy of the Melitopol City Council, being elected from the Party of Regions.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the period from 2014 to 2019, he served as Deputy Mayor of Melitopol Serhiy Minko, responsible for the activities of the executive bodies of the council.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2015, Fedorov<strong> was elected a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council<\/strong> from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc (BPP) party as a non-partisan candidate. As a member of the regional council, he joined the budget commission. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same local elections, he also won the<strong> mandate of a deputy of the Melitopol City Council from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc<\/strong>. However, Fedorov decided to give up representation in the city council in favor of being a deputy in the regional council. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abduction  <\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the occupation of Melitopol by Russian troops in March 2022, <strong>Fedorov refused to cooperate with the occupation authorities<\/strong>. On March 11, the occupiers kidnapped him. The very next day, about two thousand residents of Melitopol protested, demanding the mayor&#8217;s dismissal.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On March 16, after several days in captivity, where he was tortured, Fedorov was released as part of an exchange for nine Russian conscripts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ivan Fedorov has been the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration since 2024.
