Vasyl Yaroslavovych Virastyuk is a people’s deputy of the IX convocation, actor, strongman, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine and holder of the titles “The Strongest Man of Ukraine” and “The Strongest Man of the World”. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Place of Birth, Education<\/h2>\n\n

He was born on April 22, 197<\/strong>on the 4th in Ivano-Frankivsk. <\/p>\n\n

He received higher education at the Ivano-Frankivsk Technical School of Physical Culture. <\/p>\n\n

Career <\/h2>\n\n

After graduating from the technical school and serving in the army, Virastyuk worked as an athletics coach at the sports society “Ukraine”.<\/p>\n\n

From 1984 to 2000, he was professionally engaged in athletics<\/strong>, specializing in shot put, and was a member of the national athletics team of Ukraine. In 1995, he fulfilled the standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine, and in 1998 he received the title of Master of Sports of international class. Subsequently, he was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine. <\/p>\n\n

Since 2000, Virastyuk has been engaged in the power all-around “Strongest Man”, known in Ukraine as “Heroic Fun”, which was broadcast on the 1+1 TV channel. Thanks to victories at the most prestigious international competitions in 2004 and 2007, he won the title of the strongest man<\/strong> on the planet. <\/p>\n\n

Since 2000, he lived in Lviv, where he worked as a security guard at Concern Galnaftogaz. <\/p>\n\n

Virastyuk also proved himself as an actor, starring in several films, including “Like Cossacks…” (2009), “Ivan Syla” (2013), “The Best Batch”, “Constantine’s Code” (2015), “The Adventures of S Mykola” (2018) and “Polina and the Secret of the Film Studio” (2019).<\/p>\n\n

He was a coach in the eighth season of the TV show “Weighted and Happy” in 2018. <\/p>\n\n
