Olga Vadymivna Bogomolets\u2014a dermatologist, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament (2014\u20132019), and advisor to the President of Ukraine on humanitarian issues. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Place of Birth, Education<\/h2>\n\n

She was born on March 22, 1966, in <\/strong>Kyiv to a family of doctors.<\/p>\n\n

Her mother, Kateryna Bogomolets, was a professor in the Department of Pathological Anatomy at the Bogomolets National Medical University, and his father, Vadym Berezovskyi, headed the Department of Clinical Pathophysiology at the Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. <\/p>\n\n

In 1989, she graduated with honors from the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute with a degree in “General Medicine.” <\/p>\n\n

From 1989 to 1991, she completed a clinical residency at the Ukrainian State Institute for the Advanced Training of Physicians.<\/p>\n\n

From 1993 to 1994, she studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, where she took a course in environmental dermatology, as well as at the Bernard Ackerman Institute of Dermatopathology.<\/p>\n\n

In 2001, she graduated from Dragomanov National Pedagogical University with a degree in practical psychology.<\/p>\n\n

In 2003, she received a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree from Bogomolets National Medical University, specializing in “skin and sexually transmitted diseases.”<\/p>\n\n

In December 2014, she completed a training course titled \u201cCurrent Issues in the Organization of Medical Support for the Troops\u201d at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy of the Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n\n

Career <\/h2>\n\n

From 1989 to 1991, Bogomolets worked as a clinical resident and dermatologist at the Kyiv City Dermatology and Venereology Clinic.<\/p>\n\n

From 1991 to 1995, she served as a senior research fellow at the Laboratory of Radiation Pathology of the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n

From 1992 to 1994, she worked as a consulting dermatologist for the Ministry of Internal Affairs\u2019 (MIA) \u201cRegister\u201d in the area of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP).<\/p>\n\n

From 1995 to 2000, she headed the Department of Cutaneous Histopathology<\/strong> at the Kyiv Regional Dermatology and Venereology Clinic.<\/p>\n\n

From 1997 to 2014, she was the founder and chief physician of Dr. Bogomolets\u2019 Laser Medicine Clinic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

From 2000 to 2002, she worked as a dermatologist and venereologist at the Kyiv City Dermatology and Venereology Clinic.<\/p>\n\n

From 2004 to 2005, she served as the personal physician to Ukraine’s third president, Viktor Yushchenko<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

On February 20, 2007, she was appointed professor in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv. <\/p>\n\n

He has been a professor at Odessa State Medical University since 2009.<\/p>\n\n
