Olena Oleksiivna Shulyak – People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX, head of the Servant of the People party (2021 – present).

She was born on January 24, 1976 in Kyiv.
In the period from 1992 to 1997 she studied at the Ukrainian Transport University. She received a degree in Economics and Management in Construction.
From 2003 to 2005, she continued her education at the International Institute of Management, where she received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. During her studies, she completed an internship at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, where she mastered courses in international finance, presentations, leadership, operations management, marketing, communications, and international strategic competition.
In 2010 – 2012, she was educated in absentia at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, specializing in psychology.
Career
Shulyak began her entrepreneurial career immediately after graduating from university. Since 1999, she has been a certified auditor, as well as the owner and director of the limited liability company (LLC) “Audit Firm “Standard”.
In 2000, the company became part of the financial and industrial group “Midland Group” During 2000-2006, she held the position of Director of the Department of Audit and Analysis of Financial and Economic Activities of the Group. In 2007, she was appointed director of Midland Development Ukraine.
From 2005 to 2007, she was a member of the Supervisory Board of the closed joint stock company (CJSC) “Express-Bank”.
In 2014-2015, she headed the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Construction Community.
In April 2015, she was a candidate for the post of head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In October 2017, she became one of the founders of Creator LLC.
In particular, she became a member of the board of the public organization (NGO) “Better Regulation Delivery Office” and headed the direction of “Construction”.
She also held the position of Vice President for Finance at the Young Presidents’ Organization in Ukraine.
She is one of the founders of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs.
Political Activities
In 2019, she became a people’s deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation from the Servant of the People party. Since the end of August, she has served as deputy chairman of the faction in the Verkhovna Rada and worked as deputy chairman of the parliamentary Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning.
In November, she was appointed to the post of representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, but resigned on March 11, 2020.
On November 15, 2021, she headed the Servant of the People party.
