Anna Konstantinovna Skorokhod is a Ukrainian politician, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation.
Place of Birth, Education
She was born on January 14, 1990 in the city of Vyshhorod, Kyiv region.
She graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts with a degree in Television Journalist, Announcer and Presenter of TV Programs.
Later she was educated at the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with a degree in Jurisprudence.
Career
At one time, she held the position of Deputy Director for Organizational and Legal Affairs at Progress Construction Plant LLC. Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer in the city council and in several commercial structures.
Political Activities
In the period from 2019 to 2020, she was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation from the Servant of the People party. She was a member of the Committee on Energy, Housing and Communal Services.
Since July 2020, he has been a member of the deputy group “For the Future”. Prior to that, she was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.
During one of the meetings, Skorokhod said that her former faction, in her opinion, connects the detention of her husband Oleksiy Alyakin with her vote on the unbundling of Naftogaz and land reform. In response, the head of the faction, David Arakhamia, said that the politician allegedly repeatedly appealed to people’s deputies and offered them financial assistance.
In 2021, during the repeated local elections, she ran for the post of mayor of Boryspil as an independent candidate, but without success.
On September 21, 2023, she took the position of head of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada to investigate possible violations of the law in the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and other military formations, as well as in special law enforcement agencies where the military serve.
Marital Status
At one time, according to the media, she was married to Russian businessman and banker Alexei Alyakin.
In 2021, the politician declared 162 bitcoins: 118 belonged to Alyakin and 44 to her. In subsequent declarations, this property is no longer indicated. According to Skorokhod, she allegedly lost access to them after separating from her husband, as the latter took the keys to his wallets.
