Jared Corey Kushner is an American businessman, owner of a development company and the New York Observer newspaper, senior adviser to the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump (2017 – 2021).

He was born on January 10, 1981 in Livingston, New Jersey, United States of America (USA).
He is the eldest son of developer Charles Kushner and comes from an Orthodox Jewish family. In particular, he has a younger brother, Joshua, as well as two sisters, Nicole and Dara.
In 1999, he graduated from the Frisch School in New Jersey, a private Jewish school, and entered Harvard University.
In 2003, he received a bachelor’s degree in public administration.
In 2007, he graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Administration. In particular, he did an internship in the office of Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.
Career
While still at university, Kushner began investing in real estate and gradually expanded the activities of the family company in the New York market, earning about $ 20 million.
In 2004, his father was arrested, and in 2005 he was convicted of 18 criminal episodes, including tax evasion, illegal campaign contributions, and pressure on witnesses. In 2020, US President Donald Trump pardoned Charles Kushner.
In 2006, Kushner purchased the New York Observer for $10 million.
In 2008, he headed the development company Kushner Properties, taking over the management after his father’s conviction. During this time, the company conducted several large-scale transactions, including the purchase of the 41-story building at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for $ 1.8 billion.
Political Activities
At first, Kushner supported the Democratic Party, like his father, and contributed to its candidates.
Later, he registered as an independent voter, but in 2018 he changed his registration to a republican one.
In Trump’s 2016 campaign, Kushner played one of the key roles.
From January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021, he worked as a senior adviser to the president. He oversaw the Middle East vector and became a key figure in the negotiations that led to the signing of the Abraham Accords and other agreements on the normalization of relations between Israel and several Arab states in 2020.
After the end of Trump’s presidential term, Kushner returned to business and founded a private equity firm, Affinity Partners.
Kushner is one of the co-authors of the initial draft of the so-called “peace plan” for a full-scale war in Ukraine, which contained 28 points.
In November 2025, he participated in attempts to promote an agreement between Russia and Ukraine. In particular, he was a member of the negotiations that took place in Geneva and Miami, as well as visited Moscow together with the US President’s Special Representative Stephen Whitkoff to discuss a possible option to end the war.
Marital Status
On October 25, 2009, Kushner married Ivanka Trump. The ceremony was held in accordance with Orthodox Jewish traditions, and before the wedding, Trump converted to Judaism.
The couple have three children:
- daughter Arabella Rose, born in 2011;
- two sons, Joseph Frederick, born in 2013, and Theodore James, born in 2016.
