Place of Birth, Education
He was born on May 10, 1966 in Donetsk.
In 1990, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv.
In 2002, he received a diploma in economics from the Ukrainian State Academy of Communications named after O. S. Popov in Odessa. He has a PhD in Economics, is an academician of the International Academy of Communications and a corresponding member of the International Academy of Informatization.
Career
In 1990 – 1994, he held the position of deputy director of the production association (VO) “Vita”, and also managed the company “Lotos”.
In 1991 – 1992 he worked as the director of the exhibition at the Association of the Lenin Children’s Foundation.
In 1994, he founded Kyivstar and headed it, serving as president and chairman of the board.
Since 2010, he has headed the business unit “Ukraine” as part of the international telecommunications company VimpelCom Ltd (now VEON Ltd.), which includes Kyivstar.
On June 25, 2014, he left the post of president of Kyivstar, handing over the management to Petro Chernyshov, who previously headed Carlsberg Ukraine and was vice president of Carlsberg Group.

He was previously married to Vlada Lytovchenko.
Today he is married. He has a son and a daughter.
