Igor Mikhailovich Surkis is the owner of the football club “Dynamo” (Kyiv) and the 1+1 channel.

He was born in Kyiv.
He received higher education at the Kyiv Institute of National Economy. He completed his studies in 1981.
Career
In the period from 1981 to 1988 he held the position of head in the department of repair and construction department “Kyivzhytlorembudmontazh”, and during 1988 – 1989 he worked as deputy head of the housing department of the Shevchenkivskyi district executive committee of Kyiv.
From 1989 to 1990, he headed the department at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.
In the period from 1990 to 1994, he was the director of the commercial center of the joint venture “Dynamo-Atlantic”.
From 1994 to 1998, he held the position of General Director of Dynamo-Atlantic Limited Liability Company (LLC).
During 1998 – 2002 he held the position of First Vice-President of the Joint Stock Company “FC “Dynamo”, and starting from June 10, 2002, he headed it as president.
Since December 2008, he has been a member of the FIFA Committee as a member.
Fortune
In February 2008, the magazine “Focus” estimated the total capital of the Surkis brothers at $ 915 million, giving them 26th place in the ranking of the richest citizens of Ukraine. The publication noted that they are to some extent related to the industrial and financial concern “Slavutych”, the TV and radio company “TET”, the closed joint stock company (CJSC) “Kyiv-Kod”, investment funds “Dzherelo”, “Dobrobut” and “Nadiya”, and also have an impact on the activities of the insurance company “Alcona”, etc.
