Oleg Vladimirovich Zhdanov is a video blogger, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on March 30, 1966 in Dresden, Germany.
He received higher education at the Khmelnytskyi Higher Artillery Command School. He graduated from the institution in 1987.
Career
In the period from 1987 to 1992, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR on the territory of the German Democratic Republic (GDR).
After that, he served for five years in the city of Perechyn, Transcarpathia, as part of the 331st Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment of the 128th Guards Mechanized Division.
From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a teacher at the National Defense Academy of Ukraine. Later, he moved to the Main Directorate of Missile Forces and Artillery, where he served until 2004.
In the period from 2004 to 2007, he was a serviceman of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). In 2007, having the rank of colonel, he retired to the reserve.
In 2016, he began media activity, commenting on military and political events. In 2022, he launched his own channel on the YouTube platform.
Political Activities
In 2015, Zhdanov ran from the Samopomich Union to the Kyiv Regional Council, but without success.
Marital Status
He is married to Lyudmila Zhdanova. The couple has a son, Volodymyr.
