Alexander Bondarev is a Ukrainian Formula-4 driver with the professional Prema Racing team.

He was born on April 27, 2009.
He began to engage in karting professionally at the age of 5. Already at the age of 7, he became the youngest champion of Ukraine in karting. A year later, he climbed the podiums of the stages of the Spanish and Portuguese championships.
At the age of 9, he became the winner of the CEE Rotax Max Challenge Cup of Central and Eastern Europe.
Career
Family-type karting team
In 2020, Bondarev made his debut as part of the family karting team in the X-30 Junior category. At the Italian Championship, he took 3rd place.
In 2021, he moved to the OK Junior category, where pilots aged 12 to 14 compete. In this class, he represented Ukraine at the European and World Championships, as well as at other prestigious tournaments.
Together with his family team, he climbed the podium of the WSK series, in particular, he took 2nd place at the WSK Euro Series stage in Sarno.
According to the results of 3 stages of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, he became a bronze medalist.
Ricky Flynn Motorsport
In the 2022 season, he joined the British team Ricky Flynn Motorsport.
At the beginning of the season, he became the champion of the WSK Super Master Series. Subsequently, he took 3rd place at the first stage of Champions of the Future in Portugal.
Later, during a race in Spain, he had a serious accident and was forced to suspend his performances for rehabilitation.
After recovering in November 2022, he returned to the track and finished the season with 2nd place at the LeCont Trophy in Valencia.
Kart Republic
In 2023, he joined the professional kart team Kart Republic. As part of the new team, he took 2nd place at the third stage of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno.
In Valencia, he became the second in the first stage of the European Championship.
He also won the second stage of the Champions of the Future series in the Czech Republic and finished third in the fourth stage in Italy.
In July 2023, he won the title of European champion, becoming the first Ukrainian in the history of karting who managed to win this trophy.
In total, in the FIA Karting European Championship, Bondarev climbed the podium at all 4 stages: he won 2 victories in the Czech Republic and Denmark, took 2nd place in Spain and 3rd place in Italy.
Prema Racing
In August 2023, the racer signed a contract with the Italian team Prema Racing.
Williams Racing Pilot Academy
In September 2023, the Formula 1 team signed a Ukrainian driver for the first time in history. 14-year-old Bondarev joined the Williams Racing Academy.
After entering the junior program, he received wider opportunities for development, full team support and access to work with experienced coaches.
In October 2023, Bondarev moved to the adult age category OK
Formula 4
In September, Bondarev officially confirmed the end of his 10-year karting career. At the end of the month, he made his debut in formula racing, taking part in one of the stages of the F4 Italian Championship in Barcelona as part of the Prema Racing team.
In 2025, in preparation for the main company, the racer competes in the Formula 4 championship of the Middle East as part of the Prema Racing team. In particular, he continued to perform as part of it at the Italian Formula 4 championship.
