Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the sixth president of Ukraine.
Place of Birth, Education
Zelenskyy was born on January 25, 1978 in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.
He graduated from the Kyiv National Economic University with a degree in Jurisprudence from 1995 to 2000.
Career
From 1997 to 2003, he worked in the field of creativity as an actor, screenwriter and artistic director of the team of the Club of the Cheerful and Quick-Witted (KVN) “Kvartal 95”, and in the period from 2003 to 2011 he held the position of artistic director in the Limited Liability Company (LLC) “Studio “Kvartal 95”.
During 2011–2012, he was the general producer at the Private Joint Stock Company (PJSC) “Inter TV Channel“.
He returned to work at the Kvartal 95 Studio, where he served as artistic director from 2013 to 2019.
He is the founder of the public organization (NGO) “Youth Center “League of Laughter”.
Zelensky’s creative legacy includes ten full-length feature films, as well as dozens of awards of the National Television Award of Ukraine “Teletriumph”. He is also an award winner and laureate of international film festivals, television competitions and media forums. He played the main role in the series “Servant of the People”.
Political Activities
On April 21, 2019, he won the presidential election, gaining the support of 73.22% of voters. He officially took office on May 20 of the same year, taking the oath of office.
Marital Status
He is married to Olena Vladimirovna Zelenska. The couple have two children: daughter Alexandra and son Kyrylo.
