Gennadiy Anatolyevich Vatsak – People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation, owner of the company “Confectionery House “Vatsak”.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on February 9, 1972 in the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Vinnytsia region.
He received higher education at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Medical College.
Career
From 1991 to 1994, he served as a paramedic in a children’s hospital, and in the period from 1995 to 1999 he worked as a waiter in a restaurant.
In the spring of 2001, he founded a confectionery workshop in the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi. Later, a limited liability company (LLC) “Confectionery House “Vatsak” was created.
Activities in politics
In 2010, he was elected a deputy of the Vinnytsia Regional Council, running in constituency No. 63 from the All-Ukrainian Union “Batkivshchyna”. Five years later, he won the mandate again, this time as a candidate from the political party “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” in constituency No. 82.
As part of the regional council, he took the position of secretary of the permanent commission, which dealt with the issues of legality, anti-corruption, lustration, regulations and activities of deputies.
In 2019, he became a people’s deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In Parliament , he received the position of Secretary of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
At first, he was a member of the deputy group “For the Future”, and in 2020 he joined the “Trust” group.
