Artur Volodymyrovych Gerasimov – People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII and IX convocations, Chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party in the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation and co-chairman of the parliamentary faction of the European Solidarity Party in the Rada of the IX convocation.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on August 23, 1972 in the urban-type village of Reshetylivka, Poltava region.
In 1995, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1997, he successfully completed his postgraduate studies at the same faculty.
Career
In the period from 1994 to 1997, Gerasimov served as deputy director of the Ukrainian Marketing Group, and from 1997 to 1999 he was the director of the company.
During 1999-2014, he worked as the General Director of the group of companies “Ukrainian Marketing Group”.
Political Activities
As a result of early elections held in the fall of 2014, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada VIII on the lists of the political party “Petro Poroshenko Bloc”. He was a member of the central council of the political force. He served as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Military-Industrial Complex and Military-Technical Cooperation in the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense. He also headed the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
On May 30, 2016, according to the order of the then President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, he was appointed representative of the President in the Rada.
On April 3, 2017, Gerasimov was almost unanimously elected chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada during a meeting of the faction. On the same day, the president signed a decree on his dismissal from the post of presidential representative in parliament.
In 2019,he participated in the early parliamentary elections as a candidate from the European Solidarity party. On August 29, 2019, he was elected co-chairman of the European Solidarity faction in the Council of the IX convocation.

Married. He has three children.
