Yuriy Valerievich Koryavchenkov is an actor, TV presenter, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation.
Place of Birth, Education
He was born on November 26, 1974 in Kryvyi Rih.
During his school years, he played basketball at the children’s and youth sports school and regularly performed at regional and republican competitions. He graduated from local school No. 45.
He received his higher education at the Kryvyi Rih Technical University, where he received the qualification of an electrical engineer in the specialty “Electric drive and automation of industrial installations and technological complexes”.
In 2004, he graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics of the Kyiv National Economic University with a degree in Enterprise Economics.
Career
In high school, he worked for some time as an orderly in the surgical department of a hospital, as he planned to become a surgeon.
After completing his studies, from 1997 to 2003 he worked at the Central Mining and Processing Plant. During this period, he held the positions of electrician, foreman, engineer, and was also deputy chairman of the trade union committee.
He began his career in KVN in 1995. He participated in the “Student Spring” as part of the student theaters of variety miniatures (STEM) “Short Circuit”. Subsequently, he played in the teams “Kryvyi Rih Shpana” and “50/50”.
In particular, he was a member of the “Dnipropetrovsk team”, which eventually joined the “predecessor” of “95 Kvartal” – “Kryvyi Rih Team”.
In “Kvartal 95” he worked under the pseudonym “Yuzik”. For some time he held the position of administrative director of the studio.
At one time, he was the host of the Sunday morning show “Ukraine, Get Up!” on the Inter TV channel.
He began his political career in 2019. During the presidential election, the election headquarters of presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kryvyi Rih was headed. In the same year, he was elected a people’s deputy from the Servant of the People party. He served as deputy chairman of the faction of the same name and a member of the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
In 2025, he supported the scandalous draft law that introduced the dependence of the work of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) on the Prosecutor General.

In 2006, Koryavchenkov starred in the series “Police Academy“.
In 2009, he played the role of Batya in the film “Like Cossacks…“, and in 2013 he appeared in the series “1+1 at Home“, where he played a lieutenant. A year later, he returned to his last role in the special issue “1+1 at Home: March 8“.
From 2015 to 2019, he starred in the series “Servant of the People“, where he embodied the image of Boris Ivanovich Dudyak, the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Criminal cases
On December 27, NABU announced the exposure of an organized criminal group, which included current people’s deputies of Ukraine. According to the investigation, they systematically received bribes for voting in parliament. After that, information appeared in the media about the alleged searches at Koryavchenkov’s house, but NABU later denied these rumors.
On December 29, the body revealed more details of the case. According to NABU, we are talking about a gang that had a hierarchical structure and a clear distribution of roles. It included not only people’s deputies, but also officials of the Verkhovna Rada apparatus. The activities were coordinated by one of the people’s deputies. Before voting, gang members were sent instructions in a special WhatsApp group. After that, money was transferred to people’s deputies.
According to NABU, there are five people’s deputies among the suspects.
Marital Status
Since 2004, he has been married to Tatyana Koryavchenkova. The couple have three children:
- Andrew and Margarita, born in 2007;
- Marianna in 2011.
